Google AdWord is not the idea of running ads on Google is both tantalizing and terrifying. After all, if you do it right, AdWords could transform your business to another level. But, if you do it wrong, you could spend thousands of dollars and get absolutely nothing for your trouble.

Keywords are the basis of any SEO campaign and even if you are an expert in your niche, you should always research keywords. Because users sometimes search for unexpected keywords and keyphrases you will never think of.
You should take time to create a list of specific keywords that potential customers may use to find you on search engines. One of the most common that we do is focusing all your attention on positive keywords that bring you traffic. Don’t forget to create a list of negative keywords as well. For example, if you are selling gold watches, you would use the “silver” as a negative keyword. A comprehensive list of negative keywords can increase the traffic and improve your CTR (click-through-rate) significantly.
How to use it? Simple. You can either enter the URL of the website then the tool will automatically generate a whole bunch of suggested keywords. Look at the results and shortlist all the keywords that are relevant and have a good global search volume.
You may want to rank well for all the keywords list, but it would be best to focus on a selected few. Next, we have to look for keywords that are relatively easy to optimize and yet have a decent search volume. Those keywords should be the least competition in Google. Take a note of how many web results there are for each of the phrases. The keywords with higher ratios are the easier ones to optimize.

The keywords you finally select will be the building blocks for your ad groups and are a determining factor in how your ads will perform, where and when they will be shown, to whom they will be shown and the search terms for which they will appear. When thinking about which keywords to include in your campaigns, it is important to have a clear idea of what you are trying to achieve with your ad.
